I am thrilled, no - COMPLETELY OVER THE MOON - to let you know that I am officially CANCER FREE.
Got the test results today and there is no sign of cancer - all those wonky cells a few weeks ago were just that - wonky.
Here's the thing - I don't do stress anymore.
But I was stressed out of my brain these last six weeks - chest pains, tightness in the throat, the whole works.
Granted, I'd had a lot to handle - failed IVF, dodgy cancer checkup leading to surgery, growing business, and then responding to a young man who died in my arms.
It WAS a big deal.
I used all of the techniques I could think of, plus some I don't recommend (like an extra glass of wine), but still I was stressed.
Until yesterday (before the results). My body finally took over and gave me a cold. So I gave up. I gave in to stress and wallowed in a cold. No room for stress when you are sneezing your head off and wrapping your nose in tissues.
Here are my lessons to share with you:
1. Worrying as an absolute waste of time and energy. Even if I did come back with a positive test result, it still would have been 6 weeks of my life better off without the stress.
2. Always there is a higher purpose to everything - my cancer screening meant postponing IVF treatment which meant I could book my trip to Los Angeles for a workshop with my millionaire mentor Ali Brown.
So even something as horrendous as a potential cancer diagnosis served me well - yet again!
So here is my vow to you:
Whenever something 'bad' happens I will reserve my judgment and wait to see what unfolds, thereby eliminating stress, staying in the moment, and trusting in a Higher Power - who sees a lot more than my ego.
Here's to YOUR bet news ever!

Fantastic news Zoe!
ReplyDeleteI had someone else share a similar concept with me today.
She shared "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails" Proverbs 19:21.
