This week's tip is all about...
Any Excuse Will Do.
Most people have too many reasons to feel bad and too many hurdles in front of them to feel good.
Example: "I will feel great when I lose twenty pounds, find a man, earn a million dollars, and have a raunchy love life."
These are big requests in order to feel happy. Therefore if you don't have these things - you feel miserable.
It's a terrible way to live life - always falling short, or waiting an awfully long time.
In light of the bushfires, when you see how much people have lost, and what they are really grateful for - to be alive - it puts it all in perspective.
The diamonds, the Olympic figurine collection, the books - they all mean nothing next to the chance to keep breathing on this planet.
So why don't give yourself permission to feel good NOW?
And ANY excuse will do - be happy for the bug that fell in your coffee, the rain that muddied your car, the cold wind that gives you goosepumps, the awesome haircut you got (yes Matt -that one's for you!), that you have teeth, that you stepped in dog pooh.
These are all signs you are ALIVE - why not make it a reason to celebrate?
