Where's my stuff? and other distractions from the real game

I've been playing with manifestation techniques on some really juicy, fun goals. But what happens when you come up empty - a complete flat line on your manifestation - no hints, no teasers, no little signs, no nothing, nada, zip, zilch.

Holy crapcakes - it's so frustrating!

I mean, how are you meant to stay focused, positive, and excited when there is not a hint of change in the air?

This is the kind of situation a lot of my clients get to when:
  • Looking (and looking and looking and waiting and waiting) for the ideal partner to show up
  • For their cash flow to turn around
  • For their husband to change
  • For the weight to shift off the hips
  • For the boss to notice their efforts
  • For a new job opportunity to show up.

And so on. They rehearse and visualise and meditate and repeat affirmations and show appreciation and write in their gratitude journal and look at their vision board and do a focus wheel and yet -

NOTHING.

Well the thing is folks is that you just can't trick the Universe.

If nothing is coming in, you're just not in resonance. You're not lined up vibrationally. You've got some resistance lurking there.

Even if you're doing all the 'right' things from a manifestation point of view.

Here's a little checklist for you: (and I'm doing this as much for you as for me!)
  • How invested are you in the outcome? I mean, how much do you really crave it? (instead of 'desiring it' - craving feels heavy, desire feels light)
  • Do you really BELIEVE and KNOW in your bones that the outcome is a done deal, it's coming - it's not a question of if, but when? If you know it's coming you can relax about it, right? If you're not relaxed about it, you've got doubts, thus resistance (I think this is my problem here)
  • Are you more focused on the end result or are you enjoying the delightful process of discovery? (oh dear - I am definitely focused on the end result here - not really enjoying the whole belaboured process!)
So if, like me, you flunked the quiz, here is the biggest piece of advice that will help:

DETACH.

Stop caring. Give up. Surrender. Let go of pushing.

[I am sooo giving up on my goal. It's so given up and I am not even mentioning in the off-hand hope that you can help with it.]

But what about your goal?

Answer this question: can you make peace with your life right now, just the way it is? If so, you are starting to get lined up, you are getting closer to being in alignment.

From there, move to appreciation - what is great about right here, right now? What delights are around you right now? (when you get in this moment here and now you are lining up with your Inner Being - and stepping into alignment).

No cheating! Don't go peaking back at your goal to see if it's shifted! That shows you are still attached! Give up already!

I'd love to hear your hints and tips on how to practice letting go and what to do when you pull a blank on a manifestation.

  1. I write an "appreciation book" every morning, in which I appreciate all the things I have at the moment and all the things that went well yesterday. The more I write, the more I find. :-) Small things, big things, there's always something nice to celebrate.
I see positive things coming to me every day. I keep a journal of them. Something is given to me every day -- a breakfast yoghurt from my colleague; a little rebate or special offer on my favourite food; invitation to lunch from a friend; etc. :-))
    I appreciate myself.
And I try to be in the flow, in the vortex as often as possible, I try to spend more time in it than outside.
