40 Kick-Ass Thoughts and Things

I turned 40 last week. Hooray! There is much to celebrate about my 40 turns around the sun. Here are a few pearls of wisdom - and I invite you to share yours (pretty please!).

1. A breakdown is the declutter of bullshit before the breakthrough. Irritating and painful, but true.
2. People who drive you nuts are there to bring you back to your true self. Even the nose pickers and interrupters.
3. Chickens have more personality than you'd think. What else are you missing?
4. Jealousy is a sign you can be better than you currently are. Admire don't envy. At least, don't envy for too long or you'll get grumpy pants.
5. You don't need any excuse to be happy. Be the excuse to be happy!
6. Every day above ground is another day to savour. And eat chocolate and sit in the sun.
7. Boys look a little funny naked.
8. Eating snot is just soooo wrong.
9. 'Experiential learning' is a euphemism for f***g up and learning the hard way. At least you won't forget the lessons.
10. From a quantum physics point of view, there is a little bit Saddam Hussein, Jesus Christ, and Brittney Spears in all of us. Eeeewwww.
11. Marketing your stuff is really about lining you up with what you love about your own product. You don't love it, no one else will either. I love my stuff!
12. You get what you focus on. What you focus on expands. So stop staring at your butt! Boobs are a good alternative.
13. Sometimes getting cancer is the best thing that can happen to you. Ask Lance Armstrong. Or me. I'm five years cancer free, never been healthier, wealthier, or happier.
14. When your mother touches a raw nerve, she's just doing her job. She's pointing out what you need to clean up, resolve, get over, address, or forget about.
15. Your worth is not equivalent to the number of subscribers, twitter followers, or facebook friends. That's just decoration. 
16. The vibe rules! Having a good vibe is juicy enough. You don't need it to do anything for you (although it will).
17. I don't care who you are or how much you love your baby, a nappy still stinks.
18. You don't need to give birth to feel all the love, compassion, empathy, and support that mothering calls you to express. Otherwise boys would really be screwed.
19. You can learn to love celery. Especially with peanut butter. Yummm...
20. Creating your own stripper ass is a noble and worthy cause. May there be more of them in the world.
21. There are so many delicious and beautiful places to visit in this world. I'll start with skiing in Japan. Or British Columbia.
22. Even though he was a complete jerk, there is something completely mesmerising about King Henry VIII. What is it?? What does that say about me? Hmm.. maybe I need to work on this one a little.
23. If you can see Hitler as a human being worthy of compassion and forgiveness, then you are an evolved higher being who owes it to the world to lead others.
24. Law of Attraction is for real. That means you really are in charge of your life. Are you driving the car, or hiding in the backseat?
25. You don't need anybody else to believe in Law of Attraction in order for you to have a very, very cool life.
26. Everything is always happening for your highest good. Especially the things that piss you off.
27. Feeling good is reason enough to feel good.
28. Thank you God for sex. And chocolate cheesecake. And kittens. And dry socks after hiking.
29. Really great things to say to someone else: 'I love you.' 'I hear you.' 'I see you.' 'I feel you.' 'You are worthy.' Never underestimate the power of encouragement and acknowledgment.
30. Two words that have the power to change everything: "I am".
31. Angels and spirit guides are for real. You don't need proof! Just go with it - it's fun to believe.
32. Keep learning - it inspires a lust for life. Just ask George Dawson who learned to read at 98.
33. We are our own block to success. And our own secret to success too. Which side of the coin are you choosing?
34. Each person is God in fleshy clothes.
35. We've all a got a vibrational signature - our default mode of thinking and feeling. What are you broadcasting? Today I'm on content and creative. Think I'll dial up 'joyful and awesome'.
36. Roger Federer is still number one. Forever. So there. But he still needs me as his coach. Someone please tell him.

38. Belief is powerful. You can live on air if you believe it will work. No joke. But who would give up avocadoes, bananas, chocolate, and sourdough bread?
39. I love you all. No exceptions. with everything I've got.
40. I am happy. Thank you for being in my life and sharing your energy with me. I am blessed.
