Ardlethan babies

This is Maya Celeste Edwardes, after being fed in an Alpaca paddock.

Rob and I had a wonderful visit to Ardlethan. This is a tiny town, population of 500, east of Canberra. Our friends Megs and Phil, are parents to baby Maya and we went along to check out the new family.

Megs parents own a fabulous Alpaca farm, Wildwood Alpacas, and we managed to get up and personal with some of these lovely creatures. After a tour of the property it really hit home how hard life on the land really is. It is dirty, harsh, and constant. It's even more tough when the drought persists. May it rain soon.

Life on the land is also quiet, peaceful, with huge skies and beautiful vistas.
