Also known as Henry of Winchester ( King Henry III was born at Winchester Castle).
He lived 1 October 1207 – 16 November 1272.
He reigned as King of England: 19 Oct 1216 - 16 Nov 1272
He was the son of King John of England and Isabelle of Angouleme
Married: Eleanor of Provence (c. 1223-1291) at Canterbury Cathedral
The children of King Henry III and Queen Eleanor:

• Edmund, Earl of Lancaster

He was buried in Westminster Abbey.

Character of King Henry III: Religious, charitable, kind but weak. He never could say "No" to anybody [sounds familiar!]

Accomplishments and Achievements or why King Henry III was famous: In the reign of Henry III the custom of having Parliaments was established. He was also famous for fighting with Simon de Montford. Henry III instigated the building of Westminster Abbey (good job, Hank!)
